Sad News:The loss of a PM Expert

Dear PMP and PMP Aspirants,

It is with sadness we share with you the grave news of the passing of a partner, an expert, and a globally known personality to most PMPs and PMP aspirants. Ms. Rita Mulcahy “Rita” - as everyone knows her - had passed away a few days ago. Rita was courageous to the last minute! Although she has been fighting cancer from many year – she kept it private while continued to write and research for the benefit of the global community of project management personnel.

I have the privilege of meeting Rita many years ago and then meet her husband and small children when SUKAD became one of the first global partners to RMC Project Management. Visiting with her and the family at her home – I was touched by her hospitality and caring and not once we knew about her medical condition although she was already fighting.

I know that I will remember Rita every time I touch her books – or teach one of her classes.
- If you are already a PMP my condolences to you.
- If you are a PMP aspirant and studying using Rita’s product – we hope you honor her by studying well – treasuring the book in your hands and PASS the PMP on the first try. That what she would have wanted and it would be your way of honoring what she gave so much of her life for.
