DESCRIPTION

Extend the reach of Six Sigma with well-trained part-time practitioners

Companies that have successfully integrated performance excellence programs such as Lean and Six Sigma into their culture will tell you that success comes from being able to develop an understanding of the initiative and its benefits at every level of the organization. It is with this philosophy in mind that we launched the Yellow Belt Training program, a two-day training course (with a third optional day) dedicated to bridging the knowledge gap between Six Sigma workers and the general employee base.

Yellow belts are individuals that typically work on a multitude of tasks in a Six Sigma support role. They actively participate in projects by assisting with data collection, problem solving tasks, tool application and reporting functions. But most importantly, Yellow Belts extend the reach of Six Sigma inside an organization.

Our two day Six Sigma Yellow Belt class includes a comprehensive overview of Six Sigma concepts, the DMAIC methodology and related analytics tools. If your company is doing Lean as well, We recommend adding the optional third day to discuss Lean topics.

Our Yellow belt training is designed to expose Lean and Six Sigma team members to the basic vernacular, functions and activities they will experience when working on projects in the organization. The experience provides Yellow Belts with the education they need to interact with Green Belt and Black Belts during project report outs and throughout Lean and Six Sigma projects.

In this course, students are exposed to a multitude of new concepts. While there are no prerequisites, many students report that without previous exposure to statistics, class teachings often remain unclear until they have the opportunity to work on a project.
