DESCRIPTION

The original New Engineering Contract (NEC) was published in 1991 as a groundbreaking best-practice process.

Now in its 3rd Edition (June 2005), NEC3 comprises 23 volumes with the principal objective of pro-actively managing the relationship between the parties to a contract and, hence, of the work in the contract.  NEC3 procedures are designed to motivate the parties to work together as a team to manage risk and plan ahead.

NEC3 can also be used in a wide variety of commercial situations for an equally wide variety of types of work and in any location. NEC3 uses clear and simple language and a structure which are straightforward and easily understood.

This training program comprises a half-day exploration of the NEC3 contract followed by a 1.5 day walkthough of the ECC, and  3 one-day application workshops using the NEC3 Engineering and Construction Contract (ECC) in real-life scenarios.

On completion of the 5 days, participants walk away with the hands-on skill to manage an NEC3 ECC contract professionally.
