DESCRIPTION
Project Management has proven its value across almost every industry and business sector. This in turn led to excessive emphasis on project management certification, which is not always necessary. To manage the ‘day-to-day’ project we need proper project management thinking and simplified approach to apply the concepts.
What is “Small/Simple”? What does “day-to-day” means?
Most will say that projects are not simple and we somewhat agree. Small is relative; for industrial projects a million dollar project is small but for ‘day-to-day’ projects, a million dollar represent a huge project for most organizations. Then what is ‘day-to-day’ project?
It is not a project that we can deliver in one day; but maybe a project that requires a few days or many weeks. Examples of these projects are a marketing campaign for a small & medium organization; a learning program for a business unit; writing and publishing a book; or a new process for expense statements. We typically assign these projects to “accidental project managers.”
The Managing Small/Simple Projects is an ideal workshop for those who are anxious and interested in learning how to take the first steps in their project management practices. The workshop allows the participants to gain an excellent understanding of a simplified approach utilizing The SUKAD Way™ approach; the Customizable and Adaptable Methodology for Managing Projects™ (CAM2P™), which is aligned to global standards; such as PMI®.
The workshop provides a comprehensive coverage of real ‘day-to-day’ projects from idea to closure and the participants will learn and APPLY the methodology on such projects in class.
