- Discuss practical toolkits, methodologies and preventive measures to be adopted in problematic areas of contracts
DESCRIPTION
The deep understanding of contracts and their diligent management are key to project success. This is a 3-days introductory workshop that highlights contracts and their management with the best practices in contract management based on international forms and standards, namely FIDIC.
During this workshop, we will provide the participants with an introductory overview of contracting, terminologies, contracting relationships, and contract forms.
Further to the above, we will introduce and highlight the key areas in drafting contract terms and the success factors in managing contracts. Then, the proceedings will concentrate on how to make the contract management process a success from both a contract and a project perspective- all in an interactive and progressively elaborated manner, still within the limits that an introductory course would permit.
We will consider such internationally used forms of contract such as the FIDIC contracts for the purpose of this course.
For in-company training we could offer several variations/levels of this course (basic/advanced): service contract management; information systems contract management; supplies/equipment contract management; works contract management; as well as the possibility to concentrate on the procurement side of such projects and the methodologies to attain value for money,
