SUKAD™ is proud to announce the merger of their international education partner ESC Lille with CERAM Business School.
CERAM Business School and Group ESC Lille have finalized their merger to become the School of Knowledge Economy and Management (SKEMA) Business School.
The two French schools have launched an educational project unique in France: to create the first business school that will educate future decision-makers to create a more responsible, ethical and interconnected world of the knowledge economy.
This is the first time that two institutions of this size and importance have voluntarily merged to create a new identity. It is worth noting that ESC Lille is ranked at number 17 in the Financial Times Ranking of Management Degrees (internationally) and CERAM is ranked number 23; there is no ranking yet for the combined entity.
"This new identity is above all one of a school of leadership, with global presence, to educate those decision-makers who are able to understand their environment, adapt to and generate sustainable performance in the knowledge economy” said Alice Guilhon, Dean of the new school.
“The school will be international, it will not be stateless," said Jean-Pierre Raman, former Dean of ESC Lille and General Delegate of the new school.
The DNA:
- The knowledge economy - International
- Sustainable performance
- Willingness to undertake and innovate
Values:
- Humanism - Multiculturalism and diversity
- The pride of our territories
This merger underlines a truly international dynamic through an atypical and innovative multi-campus project: opening campuses where the world does business. The combined SKEMA Business School will have four campuses in France, in addition to one in China and one in Morocco. In 2010 they expect to have more campuses in United Stated Campus, India, and Brazil.
“We view this merger with excitement since our partner is now stronger and offers a great diversity of programs. We also share a passion for knowledge and that is reflect in both of our names the “K” in SKEMA and in SUKAD™ are both representing Knowledge.” Said Mr. Luc Bauwmans. Mr. Bauwmans is a SUKAD™ Vice President and the SUKAD™ Director for the Postgraduate Program (Master and Advanced Master Certificates) which are offered via the SUKAD™ – SKEMA Collaboration.
